1. INITIAL SET UP & PAIRING 

1.1 Powering On Your Headphones 

  1. Press and hold the Power Button for one second (1s press) to power on your HESH 360. 

  1. You will hear a tone to confirm the headphones are on. 

  1. To power off, press and hold the Power Button for three seconds (3s press). You will hear a tone to confirm the headphones are off. 

1.2 Quick Start Pairing 

  1. Your HESH 360 will automatically enter pairing mode the first time it's powered on with an empty paired device list. 

  1. You will hear voice prompt “Ready to Pair.” 

  1. Open the Bluetooth settings on your device, then find and select “HESH 360” from your list of available devices. 

  1. With Google Fast Pair, compatible Android devices will automatically display a pairing screen — simply press Connect. 

  1. You will hear voice prompt “Connected” to confirm a successful Bluetooth connection. 

Note: With your headphones OFF, press and hold the Power Button for three seconds (3s press) to power on and go straight into pairing mode. 

1.3 Multipoint Pairing — Connecting to a Second Device 

  1. Multipoint Pairing lets you stay connected to two Bluetooth devices at once — for example, your phone and laptop — so you can seamlessly switch between them without manually disconnecting. 

  1. With your headphones powered on and already connected to a first device, press and hold Joystick Center for three seconds (3s press) to enter pairing mode. 

  1. Open Bluetooth settings on your second device, find and select “HESH 360.” 

  1. You will hear voice prompt “Connected,” confirming that you have successfully paired a second device. 

  1. You can disable Multipoint Pairing in the Skullcandy App if you prefer a single-device connection.

Your HESH 360 uses a Power Button and a 5-way Joystick (Up, Down, Left, Right, and Center).

3. FEATURES 

3.1 Clear Voice Smart Mic & Sidetone 

HESH 360's Clear Voice Smart Mic is tuned to isolate your voice from background and wind noise, so you come through clearly on calls. 

Sidetone is on automatically during calls, letting you hear a bit of your own voice through the headphones — so you're not left guessing how loud you're talking. 

3.2 Multipoint Pairing 

Multipoint Pairing keeps HESH 360 connected to two Bluetooth devices at once, so you can seamlessly switch between them — like your laptop and your phone — without manually disconnecting and reconnecting. 

How to Use via Headphone Controls 

Press and hold Joystick Center for three seconds (3s press) while already connected to a device to pair a second one. 

How to Use via the App 

Open the Skullcandy App and use the Multipoint Pairing toggle to turn it on or off. 

3.3 EQ Modes 

HESH 360 has three preset EQ modes, plus a fully customizable option: 

  • Music Mode (Default) — A balanced, all-purpose sound tuned for everyday listening. 

  • Bass Boost Mode — Adds extra low end for a punchier, more energetic sound. 

  • Podcast Mode — Cuts low-end rumble and emphasizes clarity, so dialogue and voices stand out. 

  • Custom — Build your own sound with a fully adjustable 5-band EQ mode in the Skullcandy App. 

How to Use via the App 

  • Open the Skullcandy App and navigate to the Equalizer Widget. 

  • Select any of the three preset EQ modes or build your own sound with Custom EQ Mode — a fully adjustable 5-band equalizer. 

3.4 Adjustable Stay-Aware Mode 

Stay-Aware Mode lets ambient sound in around you without taking your headphones off, so you can stay tuned into your surroundings — whether that's hearing an announcement, a conversation, or traffic around you. 

How to Use via the App 

Open the Skullcandy App and use the Stay-Aware Mode toggle to turn it on or off and adjust the level. 

3.5 Low Latency Gaming Mode 

Low Latency Gaming Mode reduces audio delay, keeping sound in sync with on-screen action — ideal for gaming or watching video.

Open the Skullcandy App and use the Low Latency Gaming Mode toggle to turn it on or off. 

3.6 USB-C Rapid Charge 

HESH 360 holds up to 100 hours of playtime on a single charge. 

  • 10 minutes of charging = 8+ hours of playtime. 

  • Compatible with all standard USB-C chargers and cables, including USB-C PD fast chargers. 

While charging, the LED will continuously pulse a color that indicates your headphones' battery level: 

  • Amber — 0%–40% charged 

  • Blue — 41%–90% charged 

  • Solid Blue — 91%–100% charged 

You can check your exact battery level anytime in the Skullcandy App. 

3.7 Wired Listening via Aux Cable 

Want to keep listening after your battery runs out, or connect to a device without Bluetooth? Plug in the included 3.5mm aux cable for wired listening. 

In aux mode, HESH 360 doesn't need to be powered on — plug in and go. 

Note: If you want to use powered features like Stay-Aware Mode or EQ modes while listening over the aux cable, your headphones will need to be powered on. 

3.9 Google Fast Pair 

Google Fast Pair makes pairing your HESH 360 to Android devices instant and effortless. When you open your headphones near a compatible Android device for the first time, a pairing prompt automatically appears on screen — no hunting through Bluetooth menus required. Google Fast Pair also enables battery level notifications, a personalized device name, and the ability to ring your headphones to help find them.

4. THE SKULLCANDY APP - App download 

To unlock your headphones' advanced features, download the Skullcandy App — follow the link above, or scan the QR code in your Quick Start Guide. 

Once you've paired your headphones to your device, open the Skullcandy App and HESH 360 will automatically show up on your screen. 

From the app, you can: 

  • Turn Multipoint Pairing on or off. 

  • Check your battery level. 

  • Select preset EQ modes or build your own with the Custom 5-band EQ. 

  • Turn Adjustable Stay-Aware Mode on or off and adjust its level. 

  • Turn Low Latency Gaming Mode on or off. 

  • Assign your phone's voice assistant to a button gesture. 

  • Check for and install firmware updates.

5. FIRMWARE UPDATES 

Firmware updates delivered through the Skullcandy App help keep your HESH 360 performing at its best. 

How It Works 

  • When a firmware update is available, you'll see a notification on the Skullcandy App product home screen. 

  • Tap the “Update” button in the app to review the improvements before starting. 

Before starting, confirm all of the following: 

  • Your headphones are powered on and Bluetooth-connected. 

  • Your headphones have at least 25% battery. 

  • Your phone has at least 30% battery. 

  • You have a stable Wi-Fi or cellular connection. 

  1. Swipe forward to begin the update — the process takes approximately 5–10 minutes. 

  1. Do not exit the Skullcandy App during the update (it can run in the background, but the app must remain active). 

  1. Once complete, the app will confirm that your firmware update was successful.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING 

My headphones won't pair, or I want to start fresh with a clean paired device list. 

  1. With your headphones powered on, make sure Bluetooth is disconnected on all devices, including any multipoint-paired devices. 

  1. Press and hold Joystick Center for six seconds (6s press) to reset your paired device list. 

  1. Your headphones will enter pairing mode, ready to reconnect. 

I'm not getting any sound over the aux cable. 

  1. Make sure the 3.5mm connector is fully plugged into both your headphones and your device. 

  1. Check that your device's volume is turned up and not muted. 

  1. Try a different audio source to help determine whether the issue is with the headphones or the original device.

7. Frequently Asked Questions 

7.1 Sound & EQ 

What EQ modes does HESH 360 have? 

HESH 360 has three preset EQ modes — Music Mode (Default), Bass Boost Mode, and Podcast Mode — plus a fully adjustable Custom 5-band EQ Mode. EQ modes are selected in the Skullcandy App. 

What is Sidetone? 

Sidetone lets you hear a bit of your own voice through the headphones while on a call, so you have a natural sense of how loud you're talking. It's on automatically during calls — there's nothing to turn on or adjust. 

7.2 Skullcandy App and Features 

I'm having trouble linking my headphones to the Skullcandy App. What should I do? 

  1. Make sure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and your headphones are powered on and paired to your device. 

  1. When you first open the Skullcandy App, accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. 

  1. The app will search for available devices. When an image of your HESH 360 appears, press Connect. 

  1. If the app still can't find your headphones, close and reopen the app. 

  1. If that doesn't help, go to your device's Bluetooth settings, turn Bluetooth off and back on again, then reopen the Skullcandy App. 

Note: The Skullcandy App is supported on iOS and Android mobile devices only — PC, iPad, and MacBook are not supported. 

What can I customize with the Action Button? 

You can assign your phone's voice assistant to a button gesture from the Skullcandy App, for quick hands-free access. 

7.3 Pairing and Connectivity 

What do I do if my HESH 360 won't pair to my phone? 

  1. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. 

  1. If it doesn't connect but has previously been paired, forget “HESH 360” from your device's Bluetooth pairing list. 

  1. Press and hold the Power Button for three seconds (3s press) to manually enter pairing mode. 

  1. On your phone, open Bluetooth settings, find “HESH 360” in the available devices list, and press to connect. 

  1. If pairing still fails, reset your paired device list by pressing and holding Joystick Center for six seconds (6s press), then re-pair from scratch. 

7.4 General 

How long does the HESH 360 battery last? 

Up to 100 hours of playtime on a single charge. Battery life may vary depending on volume level and feature usage. 

Does HESH 360 have fast charging? 

  • 10 minutes of charging = 8+ hours of playtime. 

  • Compatible with all standard USB-C chargers and cables, including USB-C PD fast chargers. 

What Bluetooth version does HESH 360 use? 

HESH 360 uses Bluetooth 5.3. 

Can I use HESH 360 without Bluetooth?

Yes. Plug in the included 3.5mm aux cable for wired listening — your headphones don't even need to be powered on.
