Now Now shows out at the San Francisco Independent.
Now Now brought their brand of smooth pop to San Francisco’s Independent on their first national headlining tour in support of their new record Saved. Drummer / producer Bradley Hale took some time to enjoy the moment between songs excitedly stating “We’re so happy to be here…there are so many of you here” to the nearly sold out crowd of elated faces.
The band’s chops also showed in their precision. Brad’s drumming was like a metronome and it definitely shows that he’s been drumming since his early teens in everything from jazz to marching band. Cacie also quickly switched from free hands to slinging (multiple) guitars for (multiple) songs. The grooves were infectious and the crowd was ecstatic to hear cuts from Saved, but equally elated when Brad announced they were going to perform some older songs.
The band proved to be seasoned vets with exceptional crowd control and precise playing. Lead singer Cacie Dalager displayed incredible swagger as she danced from one side of stage to the other. It’s hard to quantify cool, but if you watch the live stream you’ll understand how freaking cool she is. Hitting the notes when needed, and putting the mic to her waist and hand to her ear to get the crowd to take over the lyrics at others, she had them in the palm of her hand the whole show.
